The AC2240A features a long life moderately heated solid electrolyte sensor technology that is designed to detect reducing gases,exemplified by the more current and difficult  HFC refrigerants such as R-134a plus all HCFC and CFC refrigerants as well as halogenated hydrocarbon blends.

Originally designed for long term monitoring,this technology was modified for portable use using proprietary sensor and circuit design. The result is a sensor with an extremely fast response time and superior sensitivity to HFC refrigerants,as well as a long sensor life.
